FIND-FOUND SERIES - 2024

Stretching, opening the heart, using other, new mixed media materials and growing patience, as a scar or wound lets go and falls off over time. The common thread of these real descriptions mentioned above for the “Find Found Series, 2024 is mindful experimentation. It is also about shedding past scars of self-hate and allowing self-love to enter.

These pieces took months to complete and collaboration with others simultaneously occurred for a final output. There was a friendliness that I haven’t had as such in my other series’.

As you view these works, there becomes a partnership that gives you the space to put attention into them, not just at them. This in itself is a way to create an open consciousness, without effort.

One of my favorite ideas and lived practices comes from Buddhist Nun, Meditator and Educator, Pema Chodron that she writes about in her book, “When Things Fall Apart”. It is, expressed in one of her chapters, “the true mind has no bias.”

This series aspires, visually, to this meditation. I invite you to any friendliness or other feelings that come up and thank you for your viewing.
